A Diverse Range of Methods & Options
In a safe, nurturing community where individualized patient care is a priority for achieving long-lasting recovery, Willow Healing Center is dedicated to helping women make healthy life choices moving forward.
In addition to being equipped with the tools for better communication and emotional regulation, the goal for every woman who walks through our doors is to gain the courage to face life’s greatest challenges — including grief, loss, and healing from emotional trauma — by examining the underlying causes of addiction and co-occurring disorders.
Under the guidance of our multi-disciplinary team, which includes a psychiatric specialist, a primary care physician, master’s-level therapists, psychologists, and registered nurses, each step of the recovery journey is tailored to that woman’s specific needs.
Our program has a small client ratio, ensuring every patient is given the individual attention she deserves. Thorough psychological testing and assessments for a variety of issues related to intimacy disorders — including addiction, depression, eating disorders, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), personality disorders, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and temperament—allow our treatment team to create a personalized treatment plan.
The best therapy methods for you may look different than what’s best for your peers. At Willow Healing Center, we understand the importance of treatment that aligns with your current needs and goals, which is why a wide range of trusted modalities is available, including psychodrama, small groups, 12-Step work, and intensive trauma work using a variety of trauma-informed approaches such as experiential, cognitive, and skills-based methods.
Willow Healing Center encourages women to embrace a lifestyle that incorporates emotional, intellectual, physical, social, and spiritual growth by offering a wide range of activities and holistic therapies including experiential and equine therapy, acupuncture, ropes and challenge courses, expressive arts, nutrition, and spiritual counseling.
Our unique Brain Center is a calm, caring environment where patients can learn self-regulation skills, improving their overall health and making treatment as effective as possible. This safe space focused on wellness and healing employs state-of-the-art equipment that can be tailored to each individual’s specific needs.
We recognize that family involvement and support can play a vital role in healing. When appropriate, patients and their loved ones are guided in understanding how addictions and other challenges affect their relationships. Together, they explore ways to shift unhealthy patterns, strengthen connections, and support one another on the path to recovery.
Through individual and group therapy with an underlying focus on trauma resolution, the reasons for intimacy and relationship issues lingering beneath the surface are uncovered and better understood.
A variety of therapies are utilized including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), equine therapy, 12-Step, the 30 Task Model, and our Meadows Model of Developmental Immaturity, along with intensive trauma work using a range of trauma-informed approaches such as experiential, cognitive, and skills-based methods, and neurofeedback.
Structured experiential therapies also give women the confidence to know they’re capable of overcoming challenges and the courage to confront what may have felt impossible before by experiencing successes, identifying obstacles, improving self-esteem, and taking greater responsibility for their choices and actions.
A key component of Willow Healing Center, these experiential and mind/body therapies include: spiritual advisement, acupuncture, yoga, Tai Chi, expressive arts, mindfulness and meditation, a rope challenge course, equine therapy, and psychodrama.
