The Joint Commission

Relational & Intimacy Issues

Relationship patterns often reflect deeper attachment wounds and unresolved trauma. Many women find themselves stuck in cycles of disconnection, over-attachment, or painful relationship dynamics that are difficult to change alone.

We provide care for:

  • Love and sex addiction
  • Betrayal trauma
  • Attachment wounds and intimacy challenges
  • Toxic or unhealthy relationship patterns

Eating Disorders

Eating disorders are often connected to deeper emotional pain, control, and challenges with self-worth. For many women, their relationship with food and their body reflects underlying trauma or difficulty regulating emotions.

We provide care for:

  • Eating disorders
  • Disordered eating
  • Body image challenges

  • Sexual trauma or assault
  • Domestic violence
  • Military sexual trauma
  • Sex trafficking or exploitation
  • PTSD and trauma-related symptoms

Mood & Anxiety Disorders

Trauma can shape how women experience safety, relationships, and the world around them. Whether from early life experiences or more recent events, unresolved trauma often continues to impact emotional and physical well-being.

Dual Diagnosis

Many women experience more than one challenge at the same time. Mental health conditions, trauma, and substance use often overlap, making it difficult to address one without the others.

We provide integrated care for women navigating:

  • Co-occurring mental health and substance use challenges
  • Personality patterns that impact stability and relationships
  • Complex, overlapping emotional and behavioral concerns

Addressing Underlying Trauma and Root Causes

The conditions we treat at Willow Healing Center are rooted in trauma, which encompasses deeply negative experiences (whether from specific situations or accumulated over time), persistent shame, and toxic beliefs. The way our minds and bodies deal with trauma is complicated. Internal struggles and inadequate coping skills affect an individual’s behavior toward herself and others. Unhealthy behaviors quickly become unhealthy patterns that are difficult to break. At Willow, we integrate the Meadows Model, a core pillar of the Meadows Approach to Care, into every aspect of treatment. Grounded in decades of experience, this trauma-focused framework addresses root causes of emotional and behavioral patterns, supporting deeper healing that goes beyond symptom management.
