Dual Diagnosis
A DUAL DIAGNOSIS COMBINES BOTH MENTAL HEALTH AND ADDICTION ISSUES
A DUAL DIAGNOSIS COMBINES BOTH MENTAL HEALTH AND ADDICTION ISSUES
A dual diagnosis typically refers to the presence of both a substance use disorder and one or more mental health conditions. More broadly, people may experience multiple co-occurring conditions, including more than one mental health disorder. Treating these conditions together in an integrated setting supports more sustainable healing and long-term recovery. Without addressing each condition, symptoms may persist or worsen over time.
Difficulties with relationships and intimacy often co-occur with other mental health conditions. Therapy helps individuals recognize patterns, improve connections, and build healthier relationships.
Trauma can affect multiple aspects of mental and emotional well-being. Integrated treatment supports healing by addressing the impact of trauma alongside other co-occurring conditions.
Eating disorders frequently co-exist with other mental health challenges. Comprehensive care addresses both the behaviors and underlying emotional patterns for lasting recovery.
Substance use can emerge alongside other mental health concerns. Treatment that addresses co-occurring conditions together increases the chance of sustainable healing.
Depression, anxiety, and other mood disorders often occur alongside additional mental health conditions. Coordinated care helps manage symptoms and improve overall quality of life.
Personality disorders can influence how other mental health conditions present and are experienced. Integrated treatment focuses on self-awareness, coping strategies, and more stable daily functioning.
At Willow Healing Center, we have a high degree of expertise in treating co-occurring disorders. We help women rediscover their value and find physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual healing. Our program consists of 45 days of intensive treatment, but we do not measure recovery in months, but in years. We equip patients with the tools they need to own their recovery and continue on their journey of healing after they leave the treatment environment.
If you or a loved one needs treatment for co-occurring disorders, trauma, mental health challenges, eating disorders, substance use, or intimacy disorders, please contact our team. We would love to tell you more about our program and help you get started on the road to recovery.
